About This Policy

Alvinn Tech Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Alvinn”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), uses Cookies and related technologies located at https://alvinn.app and the Alvinn Platform to operate, secure and improve our website and creator identity platform (“Website”).

This Cookie Policy explains what Cookies are, the purposes for which we use them, the types of Cookies that may be placed on your device, and the choices available to you in relation to those technologies.

This Policy forms part of our broader privacy framework and should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides further information about how we collect, use, store and protect personal data.

What Are Cookies?

A Cookie is a small piece of data stored by a website in a user’s web browser or on the user’s devices including phone, tablet or other internet-enabled device when you access a website. Cookies allow a website to recognise a particular browser or device and maintain information including remembering preferences, maintaining login sessions, improving website functionality and helping website operators understand how their services are being used.

Cookies may be placed directly by us (“First-Party Cookies”) or by another organisation whose services are incorporated into our Platform (“Third-Party Cookies”). Some Cookies exist only while your browser is open and are removed when your browsing session ends. Others remain on your device for a defined period or until they are manually deleted.

Cookies We Currently Use

We currently use one First-Party Cookie, strictly required for authentication and secure session management. The cookie keeps users securely signed in and stores encrypted access and refresh tokens used to communicate with Alvinn’s authentication service. These Cookies are required for the Platform to function properly. This cookie is necessary to provide account access, authentication and related Platform functionality. Accordingly, where applicable law permits strictly necessary cookies to be used without separate consent, this cookie is placed without a separate optional-cookie consent choice.

If you block or delete this cookie, you may be signed out of your account, and passwordless sign-in or other authenticated Platform features may not function correctly.

Cookies We Do Not Currently Use

As at the date of this Policy, Alvinn does not currently use:

  • preference cookies for themes, language or interface settings;
  • analytics cookies, including Google Analytics or PostHog;
  • advertising or marketing pixels;
  • embedded media cookies, including those associated with YouTube or Vimeo; or
  • customer-support widget cookies.

Transactional emails may be delivered through specialist email service providers. The use of such an email provider does not, by itself, mean that the provider places a browser cookie on the Alvinn Platform.

Why The Platform Uses Cookies

Cookies enable us to provide a functional and secure Platform and to better understand how our users interact with it.

We may use cookies to:

  • authenticate users and maintain secure login sessions;
  • keep users securely signed in;
  • support authenticated Platform functionality; and
  • maintain the security of user accounts and sessions.

We do not currently use cookies for analytics, advertising, marketing, personalisation or user preference tracking.

Managing Cookies

You can view, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Because the alvinn_session cookie is necessary for authentication and secure account functionality, blocking or deleting it may result in you being signed out or may prevent passwordless sign-in and other authenticated Platform features from functioning correctly.

If Alvinn introduces non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required by applicable law, provide an appropriate mechanism for you to manage your consent preferences.

Payment and Other Third-Party Technologies

Alvinn may use third-party service providers to support certain Platform functions, including payment or checkout services. A third-party service may process technical, transaction or other information in accordance with its own privacy and cookie policies. The fact that Alvinn uses a third-party service does not, by itself, mean that the service places a cookie on the Alvinn Platform.

Where Alvinn introduces a third-party cookie or tracking technology, this Policy will be reviewed and updated as appropriate before the relevant technology is treated as part of Alvinn’s current cookie practices.

Future Non-Essential Cookies

As the Platform develops, Alvinn may introduce analytics, performance, preference, advertising or other non-essential cookies or similar technologies. Where such technologies are introduced, Alvinn will update this Cookie Policy to describe the relevant cookies and their purposes. Where required by applicable law, Alvinn will also provide an appropriate mechanism for obtaining consent before placing non-essential cookies on a user’s device.

Alvinn will not describe a cookie, tracking technology or cookie-consent mechanism as active until it has actually been implemented.

Changes to Our Cookie Policy

We reserve the right to amend or modify this Cookie Policy and if we do so, we will post the changes on this page. It is your responsibility to check the Cookie Policy every time you submit information to us or use our services. Your use will signify that you agree to any such changes.

In the event the purpose is for processing change, or if a revision is material, we will notify you via electronic mail or via a pop-up or redirection when you log in to our Platform.
